Hurricane Maria – Latest Travel Advice
UPDATED: 22 September 2017 – 12:00
Hurricane Maria has now passed through the Dominican Republic. A full damage assessment is underway but initial reports suggest there is no significant damage to hotels and resorts. We will share further information on this once it becomes available.
Please be assured that the safety of our customers is always our first priority. All of our customers in the region are in hotels which have been built to withstand a hurricane. We are working closely with the resort staff and local authorities to ensure that our customers are as comfortable and well-informed as possible and we are flying out 14 members of our Special Assistance Team this morning (22 September) to offer further support.
Our flight from Punta Cana to Manchester, due to operate yesterday but delayed by the hurricane, will depart today.
Returning customers will be met by 15 members of our Special Assistance Team on their arrival in Manchester, who will be on hand to help arrange their onward travel and provide any further support necessary. Our staff are updating all of our customers currently in resort of the situation and any changes to their flight plans.
