In the 4 years we've been operating, we have only raised one price... that was Luton last year when they whacked up their parking prices. Unfortunately, most other airports now have raised their parking prices too, (I nearly had a heart attack at Stansted a few days ago!) and we've been discussing the best way to cope with it.
We're very happy with our prices the way they currently are, our £89 Heathrow and £99 Gatwick prices are very popular, so we aren't raising any prices... but we are changing the way that we pick people up. Please note, this won't affect people already booked in!
I'm editing the website to reflect the changes, but we will now have two types of service. After a long, hard think we're calling them silver and gold 😉
With silver, journeys will still be operated 'almost' the same as they are now. We'll contact passengers about 25 minutes after landing and when we know you're waiting for your cases we'll head in and meet you. The difference now is that we'll only included the first 30 minutes parking in the price, the extra will be charged at cost. If you're happy to wait 10 mins, simply tell the driver on the phone and they'll give it a bit of extra time before coming inside. We've had several instances in the last couple of years where we've been hit with £12 parking charges, and when we're making a minimal profit anyway this is a huge cost to bear!
Gold service will replace 'meet and greet'. We've always had an issue with meet and greet with most people not actually understanding what it is/was, so it will now be a lot clearer. With Gold service, all parking charges will be included in the price, and the driver will stand with your name on a board at an appropriate place until you come through. For Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted, London City, Bournemouth, Bristol and Southampton this will be £20... for Exeter this will be £10 (simply because their parking is far cheaper than any other airport!).
It will take me a while to edit the website to reflect these changes, but I'm hoping that it's a satisfactory way to avoid price rises! ...
